Description
The SparkFun A111 Pulsed Radar Breakout is an advanced sensor module designed for high-precision distance measurement, gesture, motion, speed, and material detection. Unlike traditional ultrasonic or infrared sensors, the A111 utilizes 60GHz pulsed coherent radar (PCR) technology, providing cutting-edge performance with millimeter-level accuracy at distances of up to 2 meters. This single-chip radar solution features an integrated antenna and communicates through an SPI interface, supporting clock speeds of up to 50MHz, making it ideal for real-time applications. The Pulsed Radar Breakout board includes an onboard 1.8V regulator and voltage-level translation, allowing for seamless integration with other devices. It breaks out all the necessary pins to 0.1-inch headers and Raspberry Pi-friendly headers, making it compatible with Raspberry Pi projects. The board is compact and designed to sit directly on top of a Raspberry Pi, utilizing the 26-pin (2x13) header configuration.
