Description

The Particle Xenon is a cost-effective, mesh-enabled development board designed specifically for IoT applications. Powered by the Nordic nRF52840 SoC, it combines the performance of an ARM Cortex-M4 processor with advanced features like OpenThread mesh networking, Bluetooth 5, NFC, and multiple GPIOs. This makes the Xenon ideal for connected projects, whether used as a standalone endpoint or a repeater in a Particle Mesh network, offering a scalable solution for building IoT systems. Designed with the popular Feather form factor, the Xenon is compatible with Feather Shields, making it flexible for various project needs. It includes a JST connector for Li-Po batteries with integrated USB charging, making it suitable for portable applications. The board also features an RGB status LED, a JTAG (SWD) connector for debugging, and an onboard PCB antenna, ensuring reliable performance in mesh networks. This IoT development kit includes everything you need to get started: the Xenon development board, a mini breadboard, and essential components for a starter project. Additionally, it provides access to Particle's Device Cloud, offering features like over-the-air firmware updates, a simple REST API, and support for firmware development through both web and local IDEs.
