The built-in controller for the Pico-ResTouch-LCD-3.5 is the ILI9488, a 480 x 320 pixels RGB LCD controller. It uses the RGB565 color format and communicates via a 16-bit parallel port, converted to a serial interface to save GPIO pins. The maximum SPI writing speed is tested at 60MHz.
