Matrix LED displays are made up of rows of common anodes and columns of cathodes that can show practically anything. Various types of matrix boards with controllers are used in most current LED signboards. This 8x8 LED matrix may be used with Arduino to show a few characters.
Type : Common Anode
Note: Because you may assign things in software, it doesn't matter which pins of the microcontroller you attach the rows and columns to. I connected the pins in such a way that wiring is simple. We have 64 supply choices, and manually combining them is very hard. This is why the Arduino is connected to an 8x8 matrix.
